Attended a day course tdy, i learnt that ther are 4 types of communication styles.
1) Passive - Rarely get involved due to embarassment or lack of confidence
- Dun often complain
- Demostrate submissive non-verbal behaviours e.g. soft voice, speech hesitation,lack of eye contact
2) Aggressive - Haf strong opinions n ideas
- Not afraid to express themselves even if it is at the expense of others
- May be perceived as having a chip on the shoulder
- can come across as overbearing, sarcastic or rude
3) Passive Aggressive - Always have something to say after a fact
- Rarely speak up to avoid conflict
- Discuss problems wif those not directly involved
- Harbour feelings of unexpressed anger n frustration!
4) Assertive - Stand up for themselves
- Express their needs/concerns in appropriate n direct way
- Open body language,maintain eye contact
- Not afraid to ask y.
The ideal for a cabin crew is to be ASSERTIVE.
